Members Attending Next Meeting:

Tasks Completed

  • Completed some preliminary dimensions on the Electrical Controls layout.
    • Some preliminary dimensions are:
    • LxWxD 11in x 47in x 10in
    • 18in width for the drivetrain, 11in width for the "computer" and 18in width for the arm, manipulator, and other button functions.
  • We are looking at a design where the controls are folded into a letter "U" with a "hat" that forms an enclosure. (Provides protection)

Tasks In Progress

  • We need to determine specific joystick and button layout locations. This will allow us to determine whether or not we need to bias our controllers a certain x or y distance to accommodate how the controls will be folded.
  • We need need to determine the type of joystick for our manipulator.
    • Are we going to rip apart an existing joystick and convert it to a throttle?

Tasks to Complete

  • Determine a way to utilize signal lights to indicate game pieces.
  • Layout our design in a deliverable form. (CAD file?)
  • Materials used for the mounting the joysticks and other buttons need to be determined.
