Subject: RE: [Mechanical1] FW: [All1511] 1511 Team Update 2/9 - Additional Update

Mike,

Thanks for the update!

Just got back from Grangers and I got the additional belts needed… my blunder…

We are ok regarding the cross members now since Amy brought the ones Harris made and they were assembled on the robot.

We should be ok to finish the Micro switch detail tonight. Tom C late last night found a perfect piece of stock to make it from that already had a right angle bend in it for the trap door motor stop tab. The kids can manufacture that tonight.

I am going to try to make it there tonight… at least for a while to bring the belts over.

Per Josh’s email looks like it’s all set for tonight… so it’s a go and the team might be able to finish up the assembly tonight and start to work on the remaining minor details for the center separator, outer ball guides and ball reservoir containment.

I am also very proud of the focus of these young students and the quality of what they have produced.

Mechanics… be proud of a job well done… you have finally tamed Inventor!

Pulleys and shafts are done and at the school !!!!

The plugs for any additional cross members are not, but we have roughed out material to make all we need.

We had no time for the micro switch / mechanical stop bracket.

I have one V belt in my backpack.

I would like to spend a little time at the school tonight to personally catch up on things since I've been out of touch. I'd like to make of list of needs and just put some thought into what's next. Not sure how many folks are needed, I'm just trying to keep up.

Mike,

Were you able to finish all the parts and bring them back yesterday? When we inventoried the belts I found I had made an error in the quantity. I found them locally and will pick them up sometime today.

Mechanical Students, per Kim’s note do any of you wish to work tonight?
