Goals: [edit]

  • Determine piston and placement
  • Start CAD design for elevator
  • test feasability for brake for carrige

Accomplishments/Creations:[edit]

  • Progress in CAD
  • Determined cylinders for moving elevator
  • re-designed assembly to not require latch
  • We've been testing a different method of pivoting the elevator which would make the mechanism a latch to hold it upright.
  • cyliner: https://www.mcmaster.com/6498k995

Learned:[edit]

  • Use vectors to calculate forces in complex assemblies

1/9

We discovered that we can in fact drive the elevator in both directions, which is infinitely better than what we previously thought.
