Tasks Completed

  • hooked back up the line sensors on robot (didn't trim wires yet since still a question whether the sensors will be in front or in back)
  • made a new power cable to the analog bumper since somehow the previous one got lost ???!!
  • Dave S measured motor terminals and will look for mating faston connectors so we don't have to solder wires on.
    • There are 3 different sizes for motors, 0.187W, 0.150W, 0.110W
    • M7-RS775-18 motor has 0.187"W x 0.025"THK
    • M5-RS540-12 and M5-RS550-12 motors have 0.150"W x 0.020"THK
    • M3-RS395-12 motor has 0.110"W x 0.017"THK

Tasks In Progress

  • thinking about wire feed to arm
    • discussed with Larry pro's and con's of top feed versus bottom feed - we are leaning toward bottom feed to a point near the axle away from the gripper end
    • Larry recommended that we research more flexible high-strand count wire for this application
