2011:Team Meals
Yummy foods!
As another Student Achievement, it is our hope that you and your family can help feed the team at least once at the expense that your trip cost will lower! Students only have to share one meal of lunch (available on weekends only/February break) or dinner.
Not only does this help bring our team members closer together to help form our family atmosphere, it's really nice for our adult volunteers who often come from work each and every day! It also helps to range our menu so we're not having pizza every single night!
What should we bring??
We've seen all kinds of plates come through from pasta to baked potatoes, sandwiches to rice and tacos! We love all kinds of food and especially enjoy our traditional Breakfast for Dinner/Dinner for Breakfast meal, and Cynette's famous baked potato bar! So whatever you decide to bring, we'll be happy with as long as you'd eat it yourself. ;)
Desserts are not required, but our kids (and adults!) love to have various kinds of cookies and of course, brownies! We've also had dessert breads, ice cream, and even cupcakes!
Things to know about
- Our team does have vegetarians!
- Some of us are allergic to nuts!
- One of us is allergic to eggs!
- Some of us can't have milk ;(
Breakfast, lunch & dinner.
So depending the times of the buildseason sessions, we sometimes have all three courses, or just dinner!
On weekends, it's more typical that mentors provide coffee, donuts and or bagels during our early morning sessions which begin at 10am.
Lunches are also on weekends around 12pm, so please arrive around 11:45am for setup (plenty of students will be happy to help you unload & setup)
- An exception to additional lunches are when students are on February break when school is not in session.
Dinner is at 6, and again... students are more than willing to help unload!
