Integration Meeting Notes – 1/13/09


Mechanical 1:
Worked on updating the prototype, looking at any weaknesses to evaluate any issues. Started research on parts. Need to work on getting parts/size in inventor.

Mechanical 2:
Working in Inventor, working on the outer framework, looking at conveying systems, what type of belt to use. Going to try and see if electrical boards fit on the robot.

Drivetrain:
Assembled entire chassis, transmissions, wheels, ran on Sunday.
Assembly 39lbs. Powder coating a potential, mech teams should get any measurements by Thursday. Powder coating may be over the weekend.

Electrical Main:
Worked on Inventor assembly, need to see if it fits. Tested the Mock board, works now. Need to add wires to inventor. What sensors are needed? Need to sit down and talk about them.

Programming:
Drivetrain has turbo slow and regular and works. Autonomous pseudo code, acceleration control, traction, and upper mechanism control.

Controls:
Doing a lot of brainstorming, have several ideas. Two joysticks, other buttons, and laptop will be included. Mechanism control will be a separate control box. Gamepads have not been located.

Field:
Trailer should be done soon, need to be careful with flooring
