We re-tested the telescoping arm (1st prototype) and designed a self orienting hook mechanism base. Tommorow, we have to finish that and adjust the surgical tubing and add hooks to the bar. We need thetape measure spring for the final telescoping arm design if we choose to follow that route (and need the actual hooks, which are being prototyped as we speak). We have to decide is we want 2 or just 1 telescoping arm still, it depends. See robot design for pictures or will update later.

The Drivebase is almost complete. Apart from a few uncertainties regarding the front bar all the cad is complete and construction is ahead. We have added in skid plates. There was the concern of damaging or breaking the omniwheels so some skid plates were constructed to reduce the initial impact and prolong the life of the wheels.&nbsp;

Drivebase

1/15/2020:

The Drivebase is almost complete. Apart from a few uncertainties regarding the front bar all the cad is complete and construction is ahead. We have added in skid plates. There was the concern of damaging or breaking the omniwheels so some skid plates were constructed to reduce the initial impact and prolong the life of the wheels.
