Tasks Completed:

  • Electrical Board, Battery, and CRIO positions determined in inventor with Mechanical
  • selected pushbutton for "electromagnet contact" sensor (black with red buttin we alraedy have)  added to shopping list to get some spares and the bushing nuts to fit.

Tasks to Complete:

  • For discussion: Karen is wondering how we are doing the electro-magnet for the kicker.   We need a relay to turn on / off the field.  Magnet has kicker pulled back. When the field is off the kicker engages. Magnet off / shooter kicks. Immediately afterwards (i.e. within the 2 seconds rule) the magnet is on again and the kicker is back within the frame perimeter.  A motor is going to pull the kicker back, so we shouldn't be in violation of this:   forums.usfirst.org/showthread.php
  • Electromagnet that the mechanical kicker guys want to use is catalog.apwcompany.com/item/electromagnets/2-0-diameter-round-br-em200-em200l/em200-12-222
  • We need to add another switch (or something) to indicate contact between the electromagnet and its striker plate.  We are leaning toward a pushbutton next to the electromagnet which sticks out just a little further than the face of the electromagnet.

Switch to be ordered  search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll
