This is the Field/Crate Subteam's Engineering Notebook

Tasks completed:

1.) Cut small PVC for outside uprights of trailer

2.) Began to cut large PVC for center column

3.) Began sketching out measurements on plywood sheet


Tasks to complete:

1.) Finish cutting large PVC for center column

2.) Sketch and cut plywood for base

3.) Glue/assemble trailers

Tasks completed:

1.) Finished cutting large PVC for center of trailer

2.) Cut half of hexagonal luan plywood bases needed (6/12)

3.) Cut lots of little 2x4 pieces for bumper supports

4.) Sketched out bumper plywood measurements & cut lines


Tasks to complete:

1.) Cut other half of luan plywood bases

2.) Cut out bumper plywood

3.) Glue/assemble trailers

1.) Finished cutting hexagonal luan plywood bases

2.) Cut metal for trailer tongues

3.) Made template for holes to be cut in hexagonal bases


Tasks to complete:

1.) Drill/cut holes in 11 other trailer bases

2.) Cut out bumper plywood

3.) Glue/assemble trailers

Tasks completed:

1.) Cut remaining pvc holes in trailer bases

2.) Cut out plywood for bumpers

3.) Cut out large hole in center of each base

4.) Bought 20 sheets of "Regolith" flooring (it is being stored in the autoshop with the overpass and regular floor boards)

5.) created template for attaching bumper plywood to mounting pieces


Tasks to complete:

1.) Attach bumper plywood to mounting pieces

2.) Cut slots for wheel in bottom bases

3.) Cut plywood/polycarbonate for vision targets

4.) Glue/assemble trailers
