Tasks Completed

  • Recording the actual statistics and comparing
    • Motors weight 1/2 lbs
    • Battery weighs 1 and 1/2 lbs.
    • Actual Rpm is 150 in-oz
    • Can't exceed 12x12x12in
  • Understand what we want to do, ie: we want the minibot to be 5 lbs. and to have 50 torque oz-in, which should take 5.85 seconds to reach the top.

Tasks In Progress

  • Start building our first and second prototypes
    • Will have a 2 wheel and bar clamp, an idea from team 5
    • May add another arm or wheel
    • It will pinch the pole and have to push the gate
  • We will design a type or 'scissor' mechanism

Tasks to Complete

  • modifing the robot and seeing what the other teams may want to do with it
  • Figuring out if we need alternate methods to maintain pole friction
